Mit der Gelmerbahn eine Steigung von maximal 106 Prozent überwinden, ein Nervenkitzel und Erlebnis der Extraklasse!

Die Gelmerbahn gehört dadurch unbestritten zu den steilsten Standseilbahnen Europas.

Die Fahrt im offenen Wagen führt von Handegg (1400 m ü. M.) im Haslital, zwischen Innertkirchen und dem Grimselpass, hinauf zum Gelmersee (1850 m ü. M.), einem Stausee der Kraftwerke Oberhasli.

Die Gelmerbahn ist ein Wunderwerk der Technik und bietet ein unvergessliches Erlebnis in der Fast-Senkrechten. Oben lockt der türkisfarbene Gelmersee für eine Umrundung, und die Gastfreundschaft der Gelmerhütte.

Öffentliche Fahrten finden von Juni bis Oktober statt.

The Gelmerbahn is undoubtedly one of the steepest funiculars in Europe.

The journey in an open car leads from Handegg (1400 m above sea level) in the Haslital, between Innertkirchen and the Grimsel Pass, up to Gelmersee (1850 m above sea level), a reservoir of the Oberhasli power plants.

The Gelmerbahn is a marvel of technology and offers an unforgettable experience in the almost vertical. At the top, the turquoise Gelmersee lures you to go around, and the hospitality of the Gelmerhütte.
